(Detroit, MI) -- There are thousands of Muslims from all over North America in Detroit for a four-day summit at Cobo Center. The annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America starts today, and is being held in Detroit for the first time in ISNA's 32-year history. Michigan Governor Rick Snyder will address the group today, and former President Jimmy Carter will be the keynote speaker. Conservatives have criticized both for agreeing to appear, alleging the group is tied to terrorist organizations. ISNA officials deny those arguments.
