The New York Times got caught trying to make President Trump look bad by posting some deceptive photos of the New England Patriots during their White House visit on Wednesday.

The Times posted on Twitter two pictures, one with a large group of Patriot’s players on the White House stairs, and another similar shot with a much smaller group.

The caption read, “Patriots' turnout for President Obama in 2015 vs. Patriots' turnout for President Trump today.”

A tweet from the New England Patriots, however, noted “These photos lack context. Facts: In 2015, over 40 football staff were on the stairs. In 2017, they were seated on the South Lawn.”

The 2017 photo apparently only included the actual players, not staff.
