A Prayer to Know God Is with You

There are seasons in life when loneliness feels overwhelming. Stress, disappointment, heartbreak, and comparison can quietly convince us that God is distant. Yet Scripture repeatedly reminds us of one life-changing truth: God is always with His people.

In Haggai 1:13, the Lord spoke directly to His people through the prophet Haggai and declared, “I am with you.” That promise still speaks to us today. 

Even when emotions tell us otherwise, God’s presence remains constant. Our struggles are not proof of abandonment or punishment. God walks with us through pain, uncertainty, and seasons of rebuilding.

This devotional from Vivian Bricker reminds us that many people silently carry burdens while trying to appear strong. But God never asks us to pretend. He invites us to bring our fears, doubts, loneliness, and exhaustion directly to Him. 

When we feel weak, God remains faithful. He draws near to the brokenhearted and reminds us we are never beyond His love or restoration.

Prayer

Dear God,
Thank You for always being with me, even when I cannot feel Your presence. Help me trust Your promises more than my fears and emotions. When loneliness, hopelessness, or doubt overwhelms me, remind me that You are near. Strengthen my faith and help me rest in Your love and faithfulness today. Amen.
