Most in the audience cheered during a speech on Friday in which President Trump vowed to "destroy the vile criminal cartel" known as MS-13.

But, several mainstream media blasted him for talking too tough about the brutal gang.

Fox News reports Trump's speech on Long Island highlighted his plan to crack down on gang violence and enforce immigration policies.

CNN said that speech was “emboldening" MS-13, allowing the group to more easily recruit members because, the network said, it instilled fear in illegal immigrants.

Vox twisted Trump's words to appear as if the president believed all illegal immigrants were "subhuman."

And Slate said Trump's speeches were racist and used words to "make white people afraid."
