Appearing on ABC’s This Week, National Public Radio’s Cokie Roberts admitted that “for years” the female press corps has covered up sexual misconduct on Capitol Hill.

Breitbart reports that Roberts, in speaking about John Conyers and Al Franken, two Democrats facing numerous sexual misconduct allegations, said that every female in the press corps knew “don’t get in an elevator with him.”

It’s unclear exactly which man Roberts was referring to, but critics say her statements make it clear that women in the left-wing media corps knew about rampant inappropriate behavior and yet covered it up and, in essence, condoned it through their silence.
