Antifa protesters throw concrete at police and vandalize a war memorial with 'Kill Cops' messages in Portland

Chaos erupted in Portland, Oregon on Saturday as Counter protesters, including members of Antifa, vandalized a war memorial and threw concrete at police.

The Daily Mail reports that authorities say that the counter-rally took place after another group cancelled their demonstration but left-wing protesters still showed up. They reportedly jabbed civilians with umbrellas and threw several objects, including concrete, at police officers.

A war memorial and walls were vandalized with spray paint messages including 'Punch Cops' and 'Kill Cops'.

One person who showed up to simply hear a band performance said, 'Unfortunately, a group of people chose to engage in dangerous, illegal behavior. I appreciate the thoughtful, measured response by our officers and law enforcement partners.

Portland medics treated three victims for exposure to pepper spray, while one woman was struck by a car.

Three people were arrested and charged with misdemeanor offenses.
