Congregants of a historically black church in Selma, Alabama, turned their backs on Democrat presidential hopeful Mike Bloomberg on Sunday as he addressed them.
Breitbart reports the former mayor of New York City has had a history of questionable comments surrounding America’s black community. Comments include Bloomberg claiming black and Latino men “don’t know how to behave in the workplace.”
Bloomberg also said of young minorities, “Throw them against the wall and frisk them,” adding “we put all the cops in minority neighborhoods…. [b]ecause that’s where all the crime is.”
The protest, which remained silent and peaceful, took place as Bloomberg was giving a speech on the 55th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” a day when police attacked black citizens during a civil rights march in the town.
