It appears Sen. Elizabeth Warren gained the most ground in her run for the Democratic nomination for the 2020 election after the Democratic debate was over.
The Washington Examiner reports the debate that aired on CNN earlier this week was a huge ratings disappointment – drawing just over 7 million viewers. What has received more attention is an angry exchange just seconds after the debate ended.
New audio has now come out of what Warren had to say to Sen. Bernie Sanders right after the two squared off over alleged comments he made years ago that a woman would never be able to be president:
Warren approached Sanders and said, “I think you called me a liar on national T.V.” Sanders shot back that Warren called him a liar and then said, “Let’s not do this right now.”
Neither campaign has weighed in on the exchange caught on the hot mic.
