This Powerful 'Fill My Cup' Performance Stuns

Check out this powerful performance of ‘Fill My Cup’ by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Under the direction of Carol Cymbala, the choir gives a stunning performance of the song made famous by Andrew Ripp. The lyrics, the music, and the smiles will leave your heart and cup full!  

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, according to its website, began with only nine members meeting in a “rundown building in a difficult area.” Today, however, the Grammy Award-winning choir spreads the gospel through song from the inner city of New York to across the United States and overseas. 

Here, they sing on a stage in a fabulous auditorium in front of a gorgeous misty-mountain backdrop, but it’s not the splendor of the building or the mountain scene that captures our attention. It is the glorious sound of their voices raised in praise to God. It’s the joy in their faces, and they sing of His goodness! 

Clapping, swaying, singing, and smiling, the talented choir members—representing “all ethnic and national origins”—share their belief in Jesus Christ and communicate that shared purpose beautifully!

Thad Cockrell originally wrote and recorded ‘Fill My Cup.’ However, when Thad’s good friend Andrew Ripp suggested revising the original and recording it himself, Thad enthusiastically helped with the rewrite. Andrew Ripp’s 2022 version became a chart-topper. 

Andrew wrote, “In the midst of a breakthrough, it’s easy to notice that our ‘cup is being filled.’ But when we’re waiting between the prayer and the answer, it’s just as easy for it to feel empty.”

When we ask God to fill our cups, restore our souls, and provide the strength we need, He hears us. Just as these spirit-filled musicians lift their hands skyward, when we send our prayers His way, he delivers! 

Commenters from the choir’s home church, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, and from other countries share their admiration for the choir’s performance. They use words like “strong anointing” and “spiritual refreshment.” Keep doing what you’re doing, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir! The world needs your voices!

Prepare to hear the name of Jesus worshipped on a global stage. It is always refreshing to hear the gospel sung on public television or radio. Watch in this clip, Canaan James Hill’s powerful performance of ‘Goodness of God’ on ‘American Idol.’ 

The scene is dark with shining lights beaming down on Canaan as he sits in a refined bronze suit. He sings with such confidence and poise. His vocal runs are incredible and unexpected. He not only sings, he preaches the gospel. He has grit and genuine heart behind his performance. It feels like a church service on the national television show. Canaan is a wonderful vocalist who always leaves you curious as to what he will do next. He has a unique voice. 

As you witness this contestant pour out his heart in praise, it will lead you to the foot of the cross. The song is powerful and moving. It reminds us to look back in our own lives and see how the Lord has been good to us. He is so good even in a world that is filled with sin and pain. He is always on the throne. Canaan brings a gospel music flavor to a popular worship hit and does a fantastic performance. This will be a blessing in your day.

As you watch Canaan’s performance, you will see young and old, various skin colors, and different clothing styles represented among the audience. Jesus is revealing Himself through this song to them. God is glorified among the masses, and knowing that millions of TV viewers from around the world are watching this means that the gospel is going to the nations through this song. We can be proud of Canaan’s boldness to preach the gospel with his voice. He is not ashamed of his Savior.

This Man’s Pan Flute Performance of ‘In Christ Alone’ Is Stunning. Accompanied by piano and played on a wooden pan flute in the beautiful Swiss Alps, its gentle melody is a sweet musical reminder of who we should put our strength in. Watch the video to see David Döring’s skillful rendition of the song. 

If you’ve never heard ‘In Christ Alone’ on the pan flute before, and especially if you’ve never heard any song on a pan flute, you should give this song a listen. The pan flute has between 15 and 25 tubes that each create a unique sound when air is blown into them, resulting in a music that sounds like an angel’s whistle. 

Döring couldn’t have found a more perfect song to play with his chosen instrument. The song is played in F major and includes gentle keys and drumbeats to amplify the instrument’s air-filled sound. 

Döring has played the pan flute since he was 12 years old. Along with hymns like ‘In Christ Alone,’ ‘Amazing Grace,’ and ‘Silent Night,’ the Kazakhistan native also plays modern melodies on the pan flute, like ‘Mary Did You Know,’ ‘Sitting at The Feet of Jesus,’ ‘When You Believe’ and other spirit-filled songs that he shares on his YouTube channel

As you listen to Döring’s version of ‘In Christ Alone,’ you can’t help but be reminded of the song’s endearing lyrics

The song is written by UK native Stuart Townend and Northern Irishman Keith Getty.

Life is not easy or even fair. Sure, there are happy, joyous occasions and reasons for celebration throughout life. But it’s certainly not all rainbows and roses, but it was never promised to be that way. Jesus Christ was perfect in every conceivable and possible way, and He was unjustly, brutally tortured and eventually put to death.

There will be instances and circumstances that test and stretch our faith. We might even be pushed to what we believe to be our very limits. Worries and concerns will likely crop up, causing us to question and wonder about God’s whereabouts, purpose and role amid the struggle. But even when we are weary and feel like throwing in the towel, He is faithful.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll, in the official video for “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” sing about times when we feel like giving up and when it may be difficult to lift our hands and voices in praise. It’s a beautiful and gritty song about real life, about the situations in which many people find themselves.

No matter what we may be going through, God is and will remain loving and faithful, going through the struggle with us. He has always been faithful, stayed by our side during past hurt and heartaches, and there is no reason to believe He won’t be in the future.

CeCe Winans Dazzles With Powerful ‘Come Jesus Come’ on 'American Idol'

CeCe Winans dazzles with her beautiful song of ‘Come Jesus Come.’ This performance will give you goosebumps! 

CeCe Winans is a gospel singer who has won 17 Grammy awards. This is more Grammy awards than any other female gospel singers. Additionally, CeCe has earned 31 GMA Dove Awards, 19 Stellar Awards, and 4 Billboard Awards, amongst other awards. She was also an inaugural inductee into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame. She is an accomplished gospel singer and continues to wow with her music. 

Although the title of her song, ‘Come Jesus Come’ may sound like a pre-existing hymn or worship song, it is not. ‘Come Jesus Come’ is a piece written by CeCe. In this video, she wears a beautiful floral dress with backing vocals dressed in angelic clothing. Each of her backing vocals are wearing white gowns and clouds fill the floor. It truly looks like a glimpse of worship in Heaven. 

Through this song, she lifts her voice to praise the Name of the Lord. The ‘American Idol’ crowd is dazzled by her performance. Her performance brings hope and renewal to the audience.

All of us can echo CeCe’s lyrics. We want the Lord to come, as we have been waiting so long. We yearn for the day of His Coming, when He will heal every hurt and right every wrong. ‘Come Jesus Come’ helps us to remember that the Lord is returning and He will not delay. He will create all things new and we will live with Him in perfect peace. Praise the Lord for His goodness!

Michael W. Smith Joins Charity Gayle for Powerful ‘Thank You Jesus for the Blood’ Performance

In a powerful performance, Michael W. Smith joins Charity Gayle for ‘Thank You, Jesus for the Blood.’ This duet helps encourage and strengthen our Christian walk.

Matthew W. Smith is an artist who has performed well in both the Christian and mainstream music scenes. He has sold over 18 million albums over the duration of his career, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Charity Gayle is a contemporary Christian artist known for her song ‘Benediction (As You Go).’ She has recorded two albums, ‘Lord, You Are My Song,’ and ‘Endless Praise.’

The video starts out with Michael playing the piano and then the camera widens to show the entire room. This is where we see Charity and start to hear her sing. Instrumental players are in the background in order to focus on Matthew and Charity. Their performance is powerful and strong. A deep desire to worship God and bring their hearts to the Lord hallmarks this performance.

‘Thank You Jesus for the Blood’ is a song that was originally written by Charity. However, she wanted Michael to collaborate with her on this song for this particular video. The emotion and connection they have to the Lord in this song is inspiring. It makes us want to have the same praise and worship in our own life.

Praise the Lord! Because of Jesus’ blood, we have been forgiven. His blood has washed us clean. The Lord’s sacrifice on the cross paid for all of our sins, and He has saved our lives. Not only has He saved our lives on this earth, but He has also saved our souls for all eternity. He has brought us from darkness and placed us into His glorious light.

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:13-14

Stunning Multilingual Rendition of ‘King of Kings’ Will Move You

This moving multilingual performance of ‘King of Kings’ will stun you. Through utilizing English, Arabic, and Hebrew, the artists wow their audience.

One For Israel is a ministry focused on bringing Jews and Arabs together to serve Jesus. Setting aside any political or cultural differences, One For Israel brings harmony between fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Part of their ministry includes a worship team. This particular rendition of ‘King of Kings’ is performed by One For Israel’s worship team.

For this video, English vocals are by Rebekah Davis, Hebrew vocals are by Shilo Ben Hod, and Arabic vocals are by Nizar Francis. Each of these singers sings their parts with extraordinary conviction and praise. The very fact that this performance is multilingual is unique among other worship songs. It truly brings all of God’s children together to proclaim His Name from every tongue and every nation.

The video is set in Israel, and each singer lifts up God’s Name in praise. They are not afraid to worship the true King of Kings. Because of their multilingual performance, it encourages more people to seek harmony with one another. We are all part of God’s family, and we need to work together for His Kingdom.

The King of Kings is the Lord Jesus Christ. He left Heaven in order to redeem us and save us from the darkness. We were once without light or hope, yet the Lord had mercy upon us. The love He has for us is abounding, steadfast, and sure. The King of Kings will continue to watch over our lives, and in time, He will bring us into His Kingdom. 

“Which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords” 1 Timothy 6:15

When it comes to contemporary Christian music and hymns, I am wholly and entirely on the side of those old church songs. In my opinion, nothing beats hearing a hymn performed in church. Yes, I know many houses of worship are moving away from them. But despite their age, hundreds of years in some cases, hymns like “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” “How Great Thou Art” and Amazing Grace” cannot and will not be topped, ever.

However, as firm as my position is in the contemporary Christian music versus hymns debate, a few contemporary Christian tunes are undeniable classics. One of those is MercyMe’s “I Can Only Imagine.” That song is so iconic that even people who aren’t fans of Christian music know and love that song.

The song’s powerful, beautifully written lyrics are enough to move even the most stoic person to tears.

“Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You, Jesus
Or in awe of You be still?”

How could you not get goosebumps while reading or hearing those lyrics sung?

‘Gratitude’ Gets a Powerful A Cappella Cover

The song “Gratitude” has received a powerful a cappella cover. One man turned in a stunning makeover of the beloved praise and worship tune, using only his voice. Watch the short but powerful clip to hear the outstanding a cappella cover of “Gratitude.”

The human voice is, without question, the most beautiful instrument. Yes, there are hundreds, maybe even thousands, of instruments musicians use to produce sound, but none can compare to the human voice. There isn’t even an argument to be made for the violin, the guitar, the cello or any other instrument.

The human voice is the only one that can and will move people to tears. It’s also the only one entirely created by God himself. There is nothing like hearing someone sing “Amazing Grace,” “Great is Thy Faithfulness” or “How Great Thou Art.” Even people who don’t usually get emotional will often be moved to tears when hearing a beautiful voice sing those powerful lyrics.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one man, Andrew Martin, a supremely talented vocalist, performs the Brandon Lake classic, “Gratitude,” a cappella. Andrew’s voice, combined with the song’s lyrics about trying to find a way to properly praise and thank Christ for willingly dying on the cross for all of humanity, makes this a cover to be listened to multiple times.

But I’ve nothing else fit for a King
Except for a heart singing hallelujah
Hallelujah”

“Gratitude” has quickly become a classic beloved by many. The tune’s lyrics are so powerful and absolutely beautiful. How do you adequately thank Him for dying, making the ultimate sacrifice for you and me when neither of us deserved it? We aren’t worthy of His love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. Yet they are still freely available to all who call upon His name and seek forgiveness of their sins.

1Thessalonians 2:13 “And for this cause we still give praise to God, that, when the word came to your ears through us, you took it, not as the word of man, but, as it truly is, the word of God, which has living power in you who have faith.”

Jason Crabb’s Powerful Cover of ‘I’d Rather Have Jesus’ Will Stir Your Soul

Jason Crabb’s powerful cover of ‘I’d Rather Have Jesus’ will stir your soul and give you the best kind of goosebumps. It’s a deep, slow, and soulful version of the song many of us have grown up hearing. Watch the clip to hear Crabb’s beautiful praise to God and gift to listeners.

 ‘I’d Rather Have Jesus’ was originally a poem written by Rhea F. Miller in 1922. After a woman named Bev Shea left the poem on the piano for her son, George Beverly Shea, to find, he made it into a piece of music. George eventually sang it at church before sharing the song around the world alongside renowned evangelist Billy Graham.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Jason Crabb can be seen belting the tune with his whole heart and soul. As he sings, it is evident from his face that he means the words he’s singing. The version of the song is stunning and more than a simple voice and piano setup. Cobb’s version features a medley of backup vocals, piano, drums, and guitar with a slight country strum throughout, making it a wonderful thing pleasing to the ears.

The song is about leaving all worldly riches and pleasures behind in favor of a meaningful relationship with Jesus. In a world where nearly all we hear on the radio is modern-sounding worship, it’s utterly refreshing to hear the simple, yet courage-filled message of a timeless hymn like this one.
