Risking It All: Part 8 of a sermon series based, in part, on David Platt's book, "Radical: Taking Back Your Faith from the American Dream." Preached at Rockland Community Church (Front Royal, VA) by Pastor Christof Weber on February 27, 2011.

In this final installment of our series on The Sermon on the Mount, we encounter a radical Jesus standing in the midst of the people and proclaiming a bold new way to be in relationship with God and with one another. He ends the reading by telling us to "not worry about what may or may not happen tomorrow." This is a tough text for us in a world where worry is commonplace. Join us as we encounter Jesus' words anew today.

Why do we do good as Christians? Some have claimed we're saved by works. Yet if that's true, how can we do works better than the Pharisees who were the most religious people of them all. Jesus said our righteousness must be greater than that. So works must not be something we do to make us righteous, but something that flows out of who we are a Christians.
