Teen Gives Inspiring ‘Your Way’s Better’ Performance on The Voice

A teen gave an inspiring “Your Way’s Better” performance on The Voice. The young man shone bright as he beautifully sang a tune from gospel artist Forrest Frank. Watch the short yet powerful clip to see and hear the teenager perform the song about choosing and adhering to the Lord’s guidance and path for his life.

Shows like American Idol, The Voice and America’s Got Talent see a constant and consistent wave of talent. Every season, hundreds, thousands of people do their darndest, hoping to make their dreams come true when they audition for those programs. Some make it onto the show, while the far bigger majority are, sadly, denied and sent on their way.

But every season of those programs always turns up a treasure trove of undiscovered talent. They are often individuals who leave you thinking and wondering why they haven’t been discovered sooner. Perhaps it was stage fright, and they hadn’t built up enough nerve yet. Maybe they didn’t have an opportunity to shine, or possibly something else entirely.

Whatever the case may have been for 14-year-old Max Chambers, people are now aware of him and his incredible musical talents. In a clip posted on YouTube, Max took to the stage during the finale of The Voice and performed a moving rendition of Forrest Frank’s “Your Way’s Better.” It’s a performance so jaw-droppingly good that you’ll want to watch it more than once.

For someone so young, he acts and carries himself on stage like someone who has been doing this for decades.

Not only did he perform well, but the song he sang is one that many people likely needed to hear.

“Oh Lord, I need You now more than ever
Would you put my heart back together
I searched the world ‘til my head hurt
Just to find out Your way’s better”

What a fantastic performance and song!

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

HYMN REMIX "I HAVE CHOSEN TO FOLLOW JESUS" BLUES PRAISE WORSHIP STYLE MODERNIZED VERSION OF SONG, COPYRIGHTED 2025 ERIK HASSELBECK MINISTRIES ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, "OUR HEAVENLY DESTINY" SERIES

Those Words In Red

"Those Words In Red" expresses how my walk with Christ was established at an early age by often going to church with my grandparents, uncle and often cousins. How we were told the importance of paying close attention to what the preacher said. And how when I was young many times the word was not just powerful because of the scriptures but because of how those scriptures were shared.

Let The Peace Of God Rule Your Heart

"Let The Peace Of God Rule Your Heart" shares how we should turn away from our sinful lives and embrace God so we can have peace in our minds and heart. How through true dedication we can show the love and kindness we should have for others.

Love And Grace

Love And Grace Family Resource Ministry is where we combine sharing God's word and Love through scripture and physical food thru our weekly "Food Share" program. Our song "Love And Grace" shares how Love And Grace isn't just a place but a way of life. How helping others is an important part of our Christian walk by actually being the feet and hands of Christ. The video shares the lyrics and song cover.

Revival

Our song "Revival" shares the news of revival sweeping the nation especially among young people. Hopefully they fully understand the commitment expected by God and it is not just a feel-good movement. The video shares the lyrics and song cover.

Simple Man

"Simple Man" describes my life helping others with not just spiritual help but also physical needs. It shares how this is how we should live our lives helping people and showing Gods love to those around us. Our video shows the cover and lyrics.

Get Out Of The Darkness

"Get Out Of The Darkness" urges people to turn to God especially if their life seems like nothing ever goes right. Many people suffer from living in a dark world and the Son is the light and the way to overcome that darkness. Our video features the song cover and the lyrics so people can sing along.

There's a Reason for the Season

This is a song I wrote but decided to use as a song for the band in the book I am working on. I have shared this song on my show recently but wanted to put it out by itself for those who would like to see it again outside of my show. Merry Christmas!

Revelation

Our song "Revelation" lets people know eternity is real and you will spend eternity somewhere. Life is sometimes hard but if we read the book of Revelation, it tells us God has already won the battle and with him we can overcome death and spend eternity in heaven, The video shows the cover art and lyrics.

You Are Loved

Our song "You Are Loved" describes how we had no idea the mental strain or pain our son was going through. It is so important to always reach out to family and friends each and every day because we never know when they may be having a bad day. This has been the hardest thing we have ever gone through and we pray you never have to go through this. For those who have gone through the loss of a child, I would never say I know how you feel because every ones situation is different. What we can say is without God, prayers, family and friends we could not get through this. The video shows our son when he was baptized and the lyrics for the song.

1 John 3:17

This video shows the lyrics for our song "1 John 3:17". This song is of course about the verse 1 John 3:17 and how if we have God's love we should not turn our backs on someone in need. Since our ministry is focused on sharing God's word and showing God's love through helping families with groceries and other items. This is our Motto for Love And Grace Family Resource Ministry.

Life Ain't Always Easy

This video is for our second song and shows the lyrics for "Life Ain't Always Easy". It is about how life in general is not always easy and even Christian life is not always easy. But if we trust and rely on God he will help us through our struggles.

Help Me One More Time

This is our first song and the video shows the lyrics. This describes some of my struggles since losing my son. Satan uses trickery to make us doubt our relationship with God and we must always be prayed up to keep from falling for his tricks.

Christian its more than a name

Video shows lyrics for "Christian" it's more than a name. Which is about how so many people claim to be a Christian but fail to live up to the name.

Open The Gate

This video shows the lyrics of "Open The Gate" which is about how people should not allow anything to separate them from God.

Open The Gate

This video provides the lyrics to our song "Open The Gate" which talks about how people seem to have a gate separating them from God.

Tasha Cobbs Leonard and John Legend Deliver Powerful Performance on Jimmy Kimmel

There are songs that meet you right where you are, and ‘Church’ by Tasha Cobbs Leonard and John Legend did exactly that.

Because if anyone understands the longing behind those lyrics, it’s moms.

Women who rush through carpool lanes with coffee gone cold. Moms who sit in conference meetings thinking about dinner plans and permission slips. Grandmas who fold socks late at night, wondering how the day went so fast and if they showed up well enough.

When Tasha and John sang, “Teach me how to have church on a Monday,” it felt like permission. Permission to stop believing that church only happens when the room is quiet, the kids are dressed, and the calendar allows it, because most of our faith is lived in the frenzy.

Church looks like whispering prayers at red lights. It sounds like worship hummed under your breath while loading the dishwasher. It feels like God’s nearness when you’re answering emails, wiping counters, and trying—again—to do it all with grace.

This performance reminded me that God doesn’t wait for us to slow down before He meets us. He steps right into the mess of our schedules. He joins us in the pickup line. He sits with us in meetings. He stands beside us while we match socks that somehow never have pairs.

“You’re more than a building,” they sang—and oh, how moms need that reminder.

God is not asking for perfect mornings or uninterrupted quiet time. He’s asking for our hearts—right in the middle of real life. He’s teaching us how to have church on Monday… and Tuesday… and every ordinary day in between.

And somehow, that makes the chaos feel a little more holy.

Matthew 28:20 “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
