On Friday, Major League Baseball announced that they would be moving the All-Star Game out of Atlanta in response to the new Georgia election law. The move came as politicians and critics continue to speak out about voter restrictions in the legislation.

The financial ramifications of MLB's decision are now coming firmly into view. As CNN reported, "The 'estimated lost economic impact' from the relocation is more than $100 million, according to a statement from Holly Quinlan, president and CEO of Cobb Travel and Tourism."

The Game isn't the only thing moving out of the state as MLB also announced that the draft would be relocating from there as well.

In recent days, President Joe Biden has spoken out against the new voting law in the state and noted he would support the MLB moving the All-Star Game out of the state.

However, former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams -- who also spoke out against the new law-- said that she was disappointed that the All-Star Game is moving out of the state.

The MLB's decision about the game comes even though some have questioned some of the concerns raised about the bill.

The Washington Post fact-checker even awarded four Pinocchios for some of Biden's claims about the new law. Additionally, Jake Tapper noted in an interview with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar that "the Georgia law, even with the new restrictions, is still more open compared to other states like New York or Delaware in many ways."
