Spicer hits back at critics protesting his casting on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer shot back at critics protesting his selection for the new season of “Dancing With the Stars" Wednesday.

Some viewers started up a boycott of the show, complaining about the casting.

Host Tom Bergeron released a statement Wednesday objecting to Spicer's casting saying he would like the show to be a respite from the “exhausting political climate.”

Spicer told Fox News in a statement he thinks “when the season is over he’s probably going to realize bringing a diverse group of people together, who can interact in a fun, civil and respectful way, is actually a way we can move the country forward in a positive way.”
