A conservative watchdog group today asked the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate whether ousted DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz violated ethics rules by continuing to employ an IT staffer denied access to the House computer system.

The Hill reports a complaint filed by the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) questioned why Imran Awan had been employed by Wasserman Schultz despite being at the center of a criminal investigation for allegedly stealing equipment.

Awan was not fired by Wasserman Schultz until last week, after he was arrested on bank fraud charges while trying to leave the country.
