Marijuana Leads to Increase of Homeless in Colorado

The City of Denver is in the midst of a growing homeless problem, and some people blame marijuana legalization for attracting a growing number of drug users now living on the street.

Fox News reports Colorado's homeless population jumped 13 percent from 2015 to 2016, despite that nationally, homelessness declined by 3 percent during the same time period.

Some say that the state’s booming economy has brought people in from all over the country, leading to a shortage of homes.

But, others say those people are pouring in because of the state’s marijuana laws and say legalized pot has turned cities like Denver into homeless magnets.
