Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he doesn't know how Senate Republicans are going to get enough votes to pass an ObamaCare replacement bill.

The Hill reports Senate Republicans have been meeting most of this month to move forward on healthcare after the House passed the American Health Care Act three weeks ago.

But, McConnell told Reuters in an interview Wednesday he wasn’t sure they would get the 50 votes needed. He did sound optimistic about tax reform, calling chances for passage of that “pretty good.”

On healthcare though, Senate Republicans are facing divisions on a range of issues, including the extent of cuts to Medicaid.

Republicans hope to be able to vote on a bill before the August recess.
