While President Obama, liberals, and Democrats rail against the possible involvement of Russia in the U.S. elections, Michael Reagan says when his father, Ronald Reagan, was president, Democrat politicians secretly connived with the Soviets in failed attempts to defeat his dad.
According to NewsMax, Regan cites numerous documents recovered from Soviet archives that reveal, among other things, that Jimmy Carter sent a political ally to a secret meeting with a Soviet ambassador asking them to help Carter win votes.
In 1984, Carter met with the ambassador in person asking for help in unseating President Reagan.
Reagan also says Speaker of the House "Tip" O’Neill told the ambassador that it was in everyone’s best interests if the Soviets would help the Democrats keep "that demagogue Reagan" from being re-elected.
