two for The One - Mary Did You Know? - 12/16/2012

As part of the 2012 Children's Christmas Program, two for The One shared "Mary Did You Know?" with us.

Christmas Symphonic Joyous Song

Composer: Linyi Isaiah Tam

Title of the piece:
Christmas Symphonic Joyous Song
(Chinese translation:聖誕交響樂歌)

This new piece of music is my own composition for celebrating the wonderful Christmas.

The importance of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of the Jesus Christ, who came to the world to save us from sin two thousands years ago and who believes in him shall not perish but has eternal life. To celebrate this wonderful news, the piece is full of dancing rhythms to create the joyous mood for the great celebration of Jesus Christ. It contains the lyrics which is sung by me as well. I'm not so good at singing but try my best to deliver the words to you:) The piece is in G major to symbolise the glory of God. Hope you can enjoy it with this orchestral christmas piece. Feel free to give comments or share your ideas for me in any ways. God bless and Merry Christmas =D

Sandy Hook Elementary Tribute - I'm Free (Newtown Mix)

A tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting in Newtown, CT. This song serves as a reminder to always put our trust in God, particularly in times of trouble and sorrow.

Newtown - Touching Tribute Song

A heartfelt song for the people of Newtown, Connecticut. From Pastor Alan Maki of Tecumseh, Michigan with love, who awoke at 6 am on December 18th with these words pouring through him: "God Is With Them Now!"

David Crowder Band - Because He Lives - Fisher of Men

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!"

So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)

Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.

They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?"

"They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him." At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus...

Clay Aiken - Mary Did You Know - Fisher of Men

A teenaged girl learns that she is carrying the Son of the Living God. To the world she is no one special. She wouldn't stand out in a crowd, save the fact that she was an unwed mother in a time where there were no unwed mothers. She was just a child but she had the kind of faith that says, "Yes" without doubt or question. Could she possibly have known what was to come of her act of obedience? Could she possibly have seen that the child in her womb would grow up to become the savior of this world? Mary, did you know?

Casting Crowns - Set Me Free - Fisher of Men

Normally I don't do songs that already have videos... but there are exceptions. This song by Casting Crowns reaches into the depths of my soul. I poured tears many nights as prayed for the freedom of a dear soul I came to love deeply. I should mention that those prayers were answered! May this video be a blessing to you. If you are wondering if freedom is a real possiblity in your life, the answer is a resounding, "YES!"

Carrie Underwood - How Great Thou Art - Fisher of Men

Growing up in the church, I remember many Sundays standing with hymnal in hand mouthing the words to this song and flatly singing, "How great Thou art..." That was then and this is now. Since those days of my youth I have witnessed the power of the One True God. I have seen His handiwork in the transformation of this heart and many others. I witness the beauty of His creation each day, marvel in His creativity, His majesty, His grace and His love.

How great Thou art? INDEED! To Christ alone be all honor, all glory and all power for ever and ever. Amen

Brandon Heath - Your Love - Fisher of Men

"Your Love" is a sneak peak at Brandon Heath's third album, which is scheduled for release in early 2011. God's love is one of our most basic needs and the good news is that it is given to us all. Take a few minutes to enjoy this song and I promise it will bless your heart.

Brandon Heath - The One - Fisher of Men

Ever think, "It's just me, how could I make any difference?" We live in a world where just one person can make a significant difference. It was one man who bore the burden of this world. It was one man who set us free. His name is Jesus... It is HE who is THE One

Brandon Heath - Only Water - Fisher of Men

We can't live without it, and yet on its own remains only water. It nourishes our bodies and relieves dry, parched throats. In the hands of our Master, Jesus, it was even changed to wine. It was only water, but it was the first act of the greatest ministry the world has ever known. Only water? Make that decision for yourself.

Brandon Heath - Now More Than Ever - Fisher of Men

This world is not our home and so naturally we will long for something more. We long for our true home, prepared by the One who gave it all for us. so that we could be with Him forever. I long for home, now more than ever.

Brandon Heath - Might Just Save Your Life - Fisher of Men

From the newest, Brandon Heath album, Leaving Eden comes "Might Just Save Your Life." This song has a catchy tune but don't miss the urgency in this message. Jesus reaches out his hand even now... waiting for you to trust. Your choice to accept his sacrifice WILL save your life!
