ABC and Others Touting Illegal Immigration in New Lineups

ABC has a new comedy show in the works about an illegal immigrant family.
Variety reports the show, called “Sanctuary Family,” is about a husband and wife who butt heads over the chaos created when they provide sanctuary for their illegal immigrant nanny and her family.
It’s not the only show coming out to hype immigration.
At CBS, the drama “Have Mercy” centers around a Latina doctor who is unable to practice when she immigrates to Miami.
They’re also working on a comedy about an immigrant father and daughter who move to Maine.
At CW, the show “Illegal” follows a 16-year-old American high school student named Rafael who “discovers he is in fact undocumented.”
This despite continued low ratings at the networks.
