New American Girl Doll is a Boy

In the name of diversity, American Girl announced Tuesday that the latest addition to its lineup of dolls is actually a boy named Logan.

American Girl argues parents have been demanding the company release a boy doll "for a very, very, very long time."

But American Girl called Logan's release an achievement for diversity leading left-leaning websites to declare it "kind of a big deal," "a big step," and "about time."

Still some say it’s not enough. One Twitter user asked the company why the boy doll was White, and wondered why he did not represent genders other than male and female.

The Washington Examiner says “more power to them” if they are responding to the demands of the market.

But, they implored, “Can we please stop congratulating companies for "making history" when they're just making money?
