Although it’s not the same level of violence from left-wing activist groups that we have seen on the West and East coasts, radical groups like Antifa are spreading to universities in the nation’s heartland.

Fox News reports conservative students in the mid-west are now reporting they have been subject to violence and threats for their political beliefs.

On the campus of the University of Minnesota, for example, conservative students say “Free speech is being shut down,” adding that they have been threatened with violence and attacked on social media.

Many add that protestors are trying to label anyone with a conservative ideology as a neo-Nazi, white supremacist or alt-right extremist spewing hate speech.
