Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday called for President Trump to disband his elections integrity commission and threatened if he didn’t, Democrats would try to do so in a government funding bill Congress needs to take up in September.

In an online post Schumer wrote about the violent rally in Charlottesville, he somehow managed to work in his demand, saying “black Americans’ voting rights are once again under assault.”

He then described the President’s commission, and the Justice Department since Attorney General Jeff Sessions took it over, as “wolves in sheep’s clothing.”

He argued they be disbanded because “They are a ruse (and) their only intention is to disenfranchise voters.”
