A former FBI informant involved in an Obama-era uranium deal is free to speak to congressional investigators.

The Justice Department lifted a gag order on the unidentified man to allow him to speak to several committees.

Investigations began after the Hill reported that the FBI had evidence that Russian nuclear officials were involved in fraudulent dealings – including extortion, bribery and kickbacks – that gave a Russian-backed company control over a large amount of the U.S. uranium supply.

The deal was struck while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State and it was later revealed that former President Clinton was paid 500-grand from a Kremlin-linked bank around the same time frame.

President Trump calls the uranium story the real Russia scandal.
