A federal appeals court judge is being swept up in the growing scandal over sexual misconduct.  Ninth Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski said he is retiring immediately because he cannot be an effective judge while dealing with numerous allegations against him.

On the heels of that announcement, speculation is building that President Trump may tap former Republican Rep. Jim Rogan as Kozinski's replacement for the decidedly liberal 9th Circuit.

Newsmax reports Rogan is a judge of the Superior Court in Southern California. Despite a staunchly conservative record as congressman and previously as Republican state assemblyman, Rogan actually has a long record of working well with Democrats.

The 67-year old Kozinski was appointed to the federal court by President Ronald Reagan in 1985.
