In a mad dash effort to prevent revealing who hired its firm to investigate President Trump, Fusion GPS is claiming a subpoena would ruin them.

According to various news reports, Fusion was first hired in 2015 by a Republican “Never Trumper” to dig up dirt on Trump.

By 2016, Hillary Clinton’s campaign allies and the DNC had reportedly joined in on funding the so-called “Trump Dossier.”

Now, a House Intelligence Committee investigating the matter has issued a subpoena for Fusion’s bank records.

The research firm claims that subpoena has a good chance of “ruining” its business, as well as of putting its clients’ safety at risk.

They have asked for an injunction.

Fusion has refused to identify its clients in response to numerous lawsuits in the past as well.
