Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Matt Gaetz said evidence had been uncovered showing that the FBI gave the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s improper use of an unauthorized email server while secretary of state a “special status.”

According to the Florida Republican, who is also a member of the House Judiciary Committee, that status, combined with the fact that Attorney General Loretta Lynch told Comey to call it “a matter,” and not an investigation, and that Comey drafted an exoneration of Clinton before even talking to her or other witnesses, means that, “We seem to have a departure from the normal application of the law.”

Gaetz has called for a full review by the Judiciary Committee.
