Iranian military leaders have announced that the billions of dollars in funds brought in under the nuclear deal have helped build the Islamic Republic's fighting force into an "offensive" juggernaut, sparking concern among those in U.S. national security and on Capitol Hill.

Fox News reports Iranian leaders say since the Iran deal went through, they’ve been using the massive amounts of cash released under the agreement to purchase new military equipment and armaments.

They’ve also sought multi-million dollar arms deals with Russia since economic sanctions were nixed as part of the deal.

Leading members of Congress think at least some of the Obama administration's $1.7 billion cash payment to Iran has been used to fund and support terrorists in the Middle East.
