Arizona Senator John McCain is now accusing fellow Senator Rand Paul of working for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

McCain was speaking from the Senate floor in support of a bill advancing the small country of Montenegro’s bid to join NATO.

Paul voiced his objections to the bill, but was largely ignored by McCain who then asked for unanimous consent to move the bill forward.

To that, Paul said into the mic, “I object,” and then left the room.

In response, McCain, railed against Paul and concluded, “So I repeat again, the senator from Kentucky is now working for Vladimir Putin.”

Paul’s position falls in step with President Trump, who has called NATO “obsolete.”
