Judicial Watch today released Justice Department records showing that FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe did not recuse himself from the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server until one week before the presidential election.

Internal documents detailed various potential conflicts of interest as McCabe should have recused himself because his wife, Jill, was making a run for a Senate seat while he was overseeing the Clinton investigation.

They show former Clinton Foundation board member and Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe met with both of the McCabes to recruit Jill to run for the state Senate.

Her campaign then received $700,000 from McAuliffe-Clinton friends.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton says the fact that McCabe failed to recuse himself earlier shows “the FBI’s Clinton email investigation was a sham.”
