The legalization of marijuana appears to be having a terrible effect on the residents of Colorado.

USA Today reports since legalizing marijuana, Colorado's marijuana use rate by youth is the highest in the nation, 74% higher than the national average.

That high use rate, in turn, is having terribly negative effects on education the state.

Since 2012, when Colorado legalized recreational marijuana the state has seen an increase in marijuana related traffic deaths, poison control calls, and emergency room visits.

The marijuana black market has increased in Colorado, not decreased. And, numerous Colorado marijuana regulators have been indicted for corruption.

National Review also reports on the dramatic increase of drug addicted parents losing their children, who end up in foster care.
