Netflix Edits Old Bill Nye Episode to Avoid Actual Science of Gender

The Washington Free Beacon reports Netflix went back an edited an old episode of the educational children's show "Bill Nye the Science Guy" because it didn’t quit jive with Nye’s current politically correct views on gender.

In a 1996 episode on gender from Nye’s original show, a young woman tells viewers that chromosomes determine gender and that “there are only two possibilities – a girl or a boy.”

But in the version of the episode uploaded to Netflix, the segment has been cut entirely. In his new show, Bill Nye Saves the World, Nye endorses a socially liberal understanding of gender claiming that a person can self-identify their gender and that there are more than just the two traditional genders.

No word on if Nye was involved in the decision to edit the old episode.
