A bill filed on Thursday in Tennessee would make drivers exempt from any civil lawsuits if they hit a protester.

The Washington Examiner reports the bill, submitted by Republican State Sen. Bill Ketron, says any driver who is exercising due care, but hits a protestor who is blocking traffic is immune from liability for their injuries.

The bill stems from recent demonstrations in Nashville, in which protestors have blocked major roadways.
