Democratic super lobbyist Tony Podesta is stepping down from his lobbying firm after learning he's a target of the ongoing Russia probe.

Podesta announced his decision at a company-wide meeting this morning. Podesta and the Podesta Group worked with Paul Manafort and Rick Gates between 2012 and 2014 in a lobbying campaign that promoted a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine.

The Podesta Group has also lobbied for Uranium One, the energy company that is part of the Obama-era deal that gave control over one-fifth of American uranium-mining capacity to Russia.

Tony Podesta is the brother of John Podesta, who ran Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

John Podesta, so far, is not involved in the Mueller probe.
