The Trump administration has started to put together a so-called "red team" to play devil's advocate and debate the facts behind global warming and climate change.

The Washington Examiner reports the White House and the Environmental Protection Agency are recruiting scientists with the help of the Heartland Institute, a lead think tank challenging the alarmist scientists out there on climate change.

A spokesman for the group said the effort is long overdue as “climate scientists… have gone almost wholly without challenge.”

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt said they are excited to look at climate science with a “new, fresh, and transparent evaluation.”
