President Trump Thursday issued a trio of executive orders geared toward crime and public safety.
Stating “"A new era of justice begins and it begins right now," the President signed one order to enforce federal laws against transnational criminal organizations and international drug traffickers.
He then signed an order to establish a task force on crime reduction, and a third to implement a plan to protect law enforcement officials from violence.
During his campaign, Trump promised to be a "law and order president" and to enforce immigration laws that were loosely enforced by the previous administration.
