Fulfilling promises to support the sanctity of life, the Trump administration has withdrawn U.S. funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) because of its participation in China's forced abortion polices.

The State Department said the decision was made based on the fact that UNFPA continues to back "China's family planning policies (that) still involve the use of coercive abortion and involuntary sterilization.

Steve Mosher, President of the Population Research Institute, told LifeSiteNews, "The UN Population Fund does not deserve one dime of U.S. taxpayers' money because it’s involved in coercive family planning programs in a number of countries around the world."

He said the UNFPA works with similar programs in Vietnam and North Korea.
