A story out today has been all over mainstream media, reporting that President Trump has intervened to allow a group of Afghan girl’s entry into the U.S. to participate in an international robotics competition next week in Washington, D.C.

The six girls had been denied visas twice previously to enter the country by the U.S. State Department.

Many critics pointed to Trump’s executive order on travel for the girls’ denial of entry.

But, as HotAir reports, there’s just one problem with that criticism - Afghanistan isn’t one of the six countries to which the ban applies.

So far, no one’s quite sure what the issue was.

Regardless, it is accurate that the administration took action to allow the girls to enter the country to compete in the robotics event.

That part, they got right.
