White House chief usher Angella Reid was reportedly fired Friday because she made no secret of the fact that she remains a Hillary supporter and she refused to back the president.

The Daily Mail reports Reid, the first woman and second African-American to hold the position, was a respectful “consummate professional,” but that she “made no secret of the fact that she was a die-hard Hillary supporter” and  “would not go above and beyond” for Trump.

Chief ushers are non-political appointees and typically serve multiple administrations. A White House insider said Reid was not expecting to be let go, but that she was being given a hefty exit package.

The president wants her replaced with someone from the Trump organization who is on Team Trump.
