Wikileaks has posted thousands of documents it says reveal important CIA hacking secrets.

The documents released today allegedly include the spy agency's ability to penetrate encrypted communication apps.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange says the files show the full hacking capacity of the CIA and are the most comprehensive release of U.S. spying documents ever.

According to WikiLeaks, some of the documents show an entire unit in the CIA is devoted to inventing programs to hack data from Apple products.

Another appears to show the CIA was trying to “infect” vehicle control systems in cars and trucks.

The CIA says it would not comment on the authenticity of the documents.
