The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a liberal, Alabama based charitable organization that has gained prominence on the left for its so-called "hate group" lists, is reportedly pushing millions of dollars to offshore accounts.

The Washington Free Beacon reports the nonprofit also pays six-figure salaries to its top directors and key employees while spending very little on its stated mission of "fighting hate and bigotry."

The SPLC has become well known and cited often by mainstream media for its "hate map."

Mainstream conservative organizations have been lumped in that list alongside racist groups such as the KKK.

Records show the SPLC has recorded more than $50 million in contributions and $328 million in net assets. Records show they have "financial interests" in the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, and Bermuda.
